Wondering how to edit this U.S. City Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Cities standards might help.

Kind of ironic that a city named after Nathan Bedford Forrest is today 61% black. 68.38.181.200 03:08, 27 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Forrest was NOT a "founder of the Ku Klux Klan"

[edit]

There is zero evidence to back up this mythology. The Ku Klux Klan was founded in December 1865 some two hundred miles east of where Forrest lived, by James R. Crowe, Calvin Jones, John Booker Kennedy, John C. Lester, Frank O. McCord and Richard R. Reed. 2600:8807:5480:9F0:BD0F:D812:2515:3303 (talk) 03:49, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
